In search of actors, lecturers, musiciansFebruary 10, 2005 PORTSMOUTH - Chairman Audrey Bierhans of the Mayor’s Blue Ribbon Cemetery Committee has announced plans are well under way for its "Spirits 2005: Bringing the Dead to Life" program. "After last year’s successful programming at the city’s four ancient burial grounds - North, Union, Point of Graves and Pleasant Street - we’ve greatly expanded our programming for this summer and are anxious to add to our cast of costumed role players, lecturers and musicians," Bierhans said. Those with interest and background in 18th and 19th century history should apply by calling 436-5096 or e-mailing akmann@comcast.net. Stipends are available. Already signed up for 2005 are role players depicting Gov. John Langdon, Dr. and Mrs. Hall Jackson, Aunt Abigale of Thomas Bailey Aldrich’s "Story of a Bad Boy," Mrs. Ichabod Goodwin, Benjamin Franklin and President and Mrs. Abraham Lincoln. Speakers already signed up are Valerie Cunningham, Robert Ransley-Matteau and Andy Melville. < Back to News
